Germans which area do you think has the best Bratwurst?

I have had it in several regions such as Bavaria, Thuringia, etc. I find that Thuringian Bratwurst tastes the best, what is different about it and if you do not think their is the best which do you think is and why?

I do not thumb down either unless you are rude or thumb everyone down just because they are not Native Germans and answer, I have an opinion and am not Native and have had Bratwurst from close to 5 regions but not all of them of course.

Are you glad that they beat out McDonalds as the #1 fast convenient quick on your feet meal to go? I am!! I love the bratwurst stands!!

Thuringian Bratwurst has a special mixture of spices. Don't know if they even had it patented; but "Thüringer Bratwurst" at least is a registered trade mark: Only Bratwurst from Thuringia may be called so. Everything that's only similar to it must be called "Thuringian style" ("Thüringer Art") [That's something like a Viennese Schnitzel and a Schnitzel "Vienna style".]

I like the Thuringian ones very much, but the Nuremberg ones (small like a little finger) are also very good. They're mostly eaten on Sauerkraut.

For all kinds of Bratwurst, there should be one rule: Eat them where they're made, because they taste best fresh. You can get Nuremberg Bratwursts in supermarkets, a dozen a pack, but they just don't taste as good as the ones you get in Nuremberg.

I love Bratwurst stands, too, but in my region, they start getting beaten out by the Döner Kebabs. Which, no doubt, also is a delicious quick meal. (And it makes no big difference whether you spoil your clothes with mustard or with garlic sauce.)

lets put it this way:

every region has it's own special Bratwurst. Thuringian is well known all over Germany as well as Krakauer and Nürnberger Bratwurst. The differenc is the mix of spices they use to make them and also different mixture of meat and other little secrets they mix into this delicious Bratwurst.

I like Thuringian because of the spices.

McDonalds is not the #1 in fast convenient food in Germany by far the #1 are the Turkish Döner Kebab fast food restaurants. Tey sell as much as all McDonalds and Burger King together. Next in line are Italian Pizza restaurants they also sell more than McDonalds.

Can't make the decision .

I like the Thüringer and the Nürnberger most.

I have to agree with Bernd they are not #1 in fast food that is definitive the Döner Kebab.

I am from the north of Germany. Of course I eat samtimes Thüringer and Nürnberger, but the best is Krakauer or Schinkenwurst (there is really meat inside not only lard and oats)

Mac -- I make my Frikadellen myself -- then I do know what is inside.

ps:A Krakauer is about 75 EU-cents more expensive than a Thüringer but it has for 200 Eu-Cents more meat and it tastes 400 Eu- Cents better.
