Germany bowled out at 188 runs by Kuwait - the ICC World Cricket League Division 7
Germany has posted a target of 189 runs for Kuwait in the ICC World Cricket League Division 7 pool match being played today (May 5, 2011) at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Botswana-c2857 Cricket Association Oval 1, Gaborone.
Kuwait won the toss and put http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Germany-c2904 in to bat, looking to restrict them to a small total. The Germans opened the innings with Milan Fernando and Andre Leslie, the pair gave a solid stand of 84 runs.
Leslie had to go after scoring 24 runs off 53 balls. Khalid Butt joined in with Fernando but could not build on the start. Butt lost his wicket for just one run when Farooq Ahmed, who batted well against Botswana on May 4, came to the crease.
Fernando was holding the other end as the pair added 23 runs before Farooq went back to the pavilion. Four batsmen were back in the pavilion at a total of 132 runs.
Kuwaiti Bowlers dominated as the wickets kept tumbling, Germany lost the fifth wicket at 133 runs.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kuwait-c2935’s biggest breakthrough came when they took the prized wicket of Fernando. He contributed some valuable 59 runs off 106 balls.
The seventh man went on a duck as Kuwait looked to wrap the innings up at the lowest possible total.
Shakeel Hassan played an attacking knock and remained unbeaten at 37 off 36 at the end of the innings.
The German crumbled at 188 in 48 overs.
The Kuwaiti bowlers bowled well, however, they were very generous with extras, bowling 28 wide balls and giving away 30 extra runs.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Murad-c77103, Midhun Pakalapati, Azmatullah Nazeer and Saud Qamar shared one wicket each.
Germany has not been able to score enough runs and it appears that Kuwait, given their strong batting line up, will be able to chase the target.
