Germany defeat Kuwait by 11 runs - ICC World Cricket League Division Seven
Germany beat Kuwait by 11 runs in the ICC World Cricket League Division Seven. The match was played on 5th May, 2011, at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Botswana-c2857 Cricket Association Oval 1, Gaborone.
The toss was won by Kuwait and they opted to field first but the decision did not pay off as Germany posted 84 runs on the board for the first wicket. Milan Fernando and Andre Leslie shared an immaculate partnership.
Fernando kept on playing positive cricket and accumulated small partnerships, while wickets kept on crumbling at the other end. He was the sixth batsman to go back to the pavilion for 59 runs off 106 balls with the help of one six and five fours.
The sixth wicket was lost at 138 runs in 35.5 overs and Shakeel Hassan produced a polished late order innings of 37 runs off 36 balls, which comprised of six fours.
Germany was bowled out for 188 runs with two overs to spare, which seemed to be a chaseable target for Kuwait.

The sixth wicket accumulated 27 runs when Hisham surrendered to the German bowling after a patient 40 runs off 82 balls aided with 4 fours.
The German bowlers took over the charge and came out with an attacking display of bowling. Kuwaiti wickets kept on falling and they lost the eighth wicket at 132 runs in 38.2 overs. The target looked difficult to achieve.
Mohammed Naseer and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Murad-c77103 came out with some resistance and shared a 32-run partnership for the ninth wicket, which brought back some hope for Kuwait.
Naseer was the ninth batsman, who was caught and bowled by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Farooq-Ahmed-c56814 for 15 runs. Murad tried his best but was unable to cope up with the German bowling and lost his wicket after scoring 28 runs.
The entire Kuwaiti team was bowled out for 177 runs with 1.1 overs to spare.
Rana http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Javed-Iqbal-c66556 was the main destroyer from Germany with five wickets, Farooq Ahmed took three wickets and Kashif Haider claimed two wickets.
