Germany doesn't acept dual-citizenship?

I am an american-canadian. I was born in Canada, and recieved american citizenship because my dad was born in america. So if i married a german girl, and got naturlised in that country, would I have to renouce both my citizenships to get german? or can i keep all three?

  1. Correct, if you as a foreigner become a citizen of Germany then you can ONLY be a citizen of Germany.  Their country, their rules.


  2. You would have to renounce both your citizenships.

  3. You would have to renounce the two.  Germany only allows dual citizenship if you are born with it so if you  are not, you take German citzenship, bye bye to the other ones.  Same for people who are German and immigrate to another country and take citizenship there, then it's bye bye German.
