  1. A one bedroom: from 140 (e.g. berlin) to 500 Euro (munich) per month.

Deposit money: big differences, sometimes as high as a monthly rent. Never more than three monthly rents.

diesel: 1,20 Euro per liter. Gas:  I think 1,4 Euro? I am not sure.

Car insurance: varies, it depends on how old you are, how long you have a drivers licence, how old is the car etc. between 600 to 1500 to much more.

you can find cars for every price. for 1000 euro you can get a car witch is allowed to be driven for two more years on the streets (allowance by the technical control board).

We do not have congestion charging and road tax. only a tax for cars which would be about 70 to 300 Euro a year.

And how much do I need to live... maybe about 300 Euro.

  2. About 350 EUR/month for a Student room in Bonn

  3. Ok, I try to answer u a few questions.

A one-bedroom cost between 50 Euro and 80 Euro. It depents of the hotel. But Youth hostels are very cheap between 10 and 20 Euro a night.

For what should they want desoposit money. You dont have to pay desoposit when you are in a hotel.

Yes east germany is chaper when west germany. But I wouldn´t spend all the vacation in east gemany. West germany is very nice u should have seen everything.

petrol is right now between 1,30 Euro and 1,35 Euro for 1 Liter. It´s swaying.

You don´t have to pay tax to drive on a road or an  a highway. Only trucks have to pay this. And I don´t think you´ll drive a truck.

So I hope I could answer you a few questions for your satisfaction.

  5. A (student) room in a shared flat is between 150 and 450 EUR per month, depending upon the city. Berlin and the East are generally pretty cheap. A one-bedroom appartment can be had from 250 EUR on, also again depending upon the city. In Berlin the going rate seems to be around 350-400 EUR. Shared flats are pretty informal, generally 2-4 people hitch up with each other and rent a place together. They do not want a deposit at all. For an appartment you'll have to pay a deposit - 3 rents are the maximum.

Cost of living per month is currently determined to be 347 EUR by the Social Welfare Department.

A small German car can be had from 500 EUR on, but whether you get anything roadworthy for this is doubtful.

Keeping a car is expensive, it is much better to buy a bycicle and get around this way. At almost all TV shows that deal with financial issues the first step of the "get rid of your debts" coach is usually to sell the car. Riding a bike is cheaper and healthy.
