Germany reorganises team line-up for 2011 FIVB Men’s World League – Volleyball news
The 2011 FIVB Men’s World League is scheduled to start in the next month of May.
The mega international competition is the next big thing for men’s volleyball teams across the globe. The World League will be formally kicked off on May 27 and it will complete its final stage on July 10. A total of 16 teams will on board to stage the battle
for supremacy.
The German Men’s National Team will also actively participate in the campaign. This would be their 8th time to play at the FIVB World League. The German team is currently regarded as No. 9 on the World Rankings and that is their highest finish. The upcoming
event of 2011 FIVB World League will provide them a vital chance of improving their ranking.
The German Team has recently undergone some major changes in the team-line. The team has been reassembled and seven new players have been added to the roster, while two recalled players will also join the team. The addition of seven players is likely to
bring a positive change in team’s performance.
The German team has been placed in Pool B of the tournament. They will be accompanied by teams from Russia, Bulgaria and Japan. Germany will have tough competition with the Russian in the pool play matches. It will be interesting to watching them coping
with the power of runner-up team of the 2010 FIVB World League.
The head coach of German team, Raul Lozano has a firm determination to enable his team to put up an incredible show of volleyball. Lozano shared his thoughts about the World League competition.
He said, “The World League is the most important competition at international level. Today there is no national team which improves without playing in the World League. I think my team has not reached its maximum yet so we will work very hard in this year.”
