Germany thrash Kazakhstan 4-0: Miroslav Klose and Thomas Muller score a brace – Euro 2012 qualifiers
Miroslav Klose and Thomas Muller scored a brace each to help Germany thrash Kazakhstan 4-0 in a Group A Euro 2012 qualifier played at the Fritz-Walter Stadium in Kaiserslautern, Germany on 26 March, 2011.
With the win, the German side has stretched its lead to 8 points at the top of their qualification group.
Kazakhstan are having a dismal Euro 2012 qualification campaign so far as they have failed to collect even a solitary point after five games. Furthermore, they are yet to score in the competition.
The German side wasted little time to open the scoring as only in the third minute, striker Klose pounced on a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 free kick. The Kazakh defence failed to clear the ball and Klose who was unmarked at far post made no mistake from inside
the six-yard box.
Klose has been instrumental for Germany as the striker has scored 62 goals for his side in 108 appearances and is only 8 goals away from overtaking their all time top scorer Gerd Muller.

Germany doubled their advantage in the 25th minute as Ozil’s free kick found Muller at the near post and the midfielder’s glancing header guided the ball home.
Just before half-time mark the Kazakh defence attempted to catch Muller offside but it backfired drastically. The midfielder beating the offside trap helped himself to a simple finish from eight yards out to make it 3-0 for the Germans.

Klose wrapped up the scoring in the 88th minute. The Kazakh defence was caught in possession inside their penalty area when Khedira nicked the ball of a defender and his square pass found Klose who tapped in easily making it 4-0 for Germany.
