The German shuttlers completely dazzled their opponents and final result of 5-0 was proof of their dominance in this encounter.
Both countries are in Group D and they were fighting for a crucial win to raise their chances for quarter-finals of prestigious team event.
In first game of the match, World Number 15 shuttler Marc Zwiebler set the foundation by overwhelming the top American campaigner Sattawat Pongnairat.
Zwiebler had to wait for 33 minutes as his competitor matched his skills in both sets and earned great deal of respect from the audience.
However, it was not enough to stop Zwiebler from bagging first match point with 21-15 and 21-18 scores on the board.
The following game proved best part of the contest as Men’s Doubles teams of both countries remained in court for 43 minutes.
