Germs from sharing a Toothbrush?

I slept over my girlfriends house and didnt bring my toothbrush. So she washed her toothbrush with hot water, then i used it.

Is hot water good enough to clean a toothbrush?

What could i catch?

i highly doubt you are going to catch anything.

i've had to use my sisters tooth brush many times and i never caught anything.
