Liverpool’s captain, Steven Gerrard has gone on to reflect on his performances this season, and feels that he has not been playing to the best of his abilities so far. The midfielder has managed to make twenty eight appearances for his team so far
this season, and in those appearances he has only managed to find the back of the net on four occasions.
Given how Gerrard is regarded as being a high scoring midfielder, those statistics are rather poor by his standards and Gerrard is well aware of this fact.
The player feels that he has not been able to really kick things off with a bang this season, but he is slowly looking to build and achieve the level of performances that made everyone regard him as one of the best in the world.
"I've had mixed experiences this season," he told reporters. "I've passed some unbelievable landmarks for club and country, getting to the 600 games mark and winning my 100th cap for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.”

"But with the slow start we made and being where we have in the league it's been a bit mixed for me.”
"There's my form as well. I've played well in some games but I've been disappointed with myself in others and I'm not happy with my goal tally at the moment.
"People's opinions, perceptions and the way they judge you changes when you get a goal.”

"I think my performances are getting closer to where I want them to be so if I can add goals to those performances then maybe people will start saying the old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Gerrard-c34196 is back."
This season was supposed to be the season that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 started to contest for a spot in the top four once again. However, that has not proven to be the case so far. The team is not doing as well as they would have wanted to, despite them showing signs
of progress in recent weeks.
The Reds desperately need their skipper to put in some more brilliant performances which could help them win more games.
Once that does happen, then Liverpool are bound to go on and look to break back into the top four once again.
