The Swansea City midfielder was present in the stands, as he saw the Merseyside outfit demolish the Belarusian team 3-0 at Anfield, to claim the tie 4-0 on aggregate.
The 22-year old talented schemer has been strongly linked of re-uniting with his former manager, Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool. Despite the fact that the Reds saw their earlier overtures get spurned by Swansea, they are now reportedly seeking to trigger the
15 million pounds release clause in the player’s contract.
However, Gerrard, who netted his 150th goal for the club on Thursday, refused to comment on the reason behind Allen’s attendance at Anfield. Even though he admitted that the Welsh footballer would be a worthy addition to their squad, he refrained
from giving his opinion on his transfer status.
The 32-year old told the reporters in an interview, “I think it would be very disrespectful of me to talk about Joe Allen as a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 player just now, but he's a very good player. I'm sure if we do manage to get his signature on the paper he'll bring
a lot to our team but at the moment I've got to be very careful.”
Nevertheless, the Reds ace reached yet another milestone in his career, by bagging his 150th scalp for the Merseyside team.
When asked to share his feelings upon achieving the feat, the midfielder responded by saying that he was honoured to have broken into the list of the elite players who had reached the mark.  However, he insisted that he was more ‘interested’ in meeting his
team targets next season.
He then further added that his prime aim was helping the Reds reclaim their place in the Champions League competition, while at the same time vying for the Europa League title this coming term.
“[The target] is to get amongst Europe's best again in the Champions League and we want to do well in this competition, it's a superb trophy and we want to stay in it for as long as possible.”
