The PJ successfully solved two attempts to extort money from the McCann couple But Gerry laughs during the negotiations! And sucked on a lollipop in a relaxed manner while he read banalities on the internet and discussed rugby and football with an English policeman!!!

The coldness that Gerry McCann always demonstrated during the process of his daughter’s disappearance was noted both by the Portuguese and the British investigators…

This is behaviour from the father of a child who he believes has been abducted????!

I cannot believe the ill-feeling to these poor people, who did leave their sleeping kids alone, but so many parents do from time to time.  The contempt for them seems as strong as if they were convicted child-abusers, and it disgust me!

These people have been told how to be with the media. Sure we all think we would show all emotion, but what people forget is that in these cases, they are directed not to display crying and emotional breakdown. One reason is that this could encourage an abductor, this could give that sick individual , gratification. Also, you or I  don't know what it's like to be in their shoes day after day, minute after minute. It's easy for all of us to judge and make accusations, because it's really hard not to see a rescue, it's hard to fathom how anyone would take a child etc.. This is all a horrible thing, but to judge these people when all we see is when the cameras are in their face and not when they are alone and dealing their loss. How is pointing your fingers at something you can only speculate about, going to benefit Madeleine or any missing or exploited child. If you feel so strongly, and the need to debate, why not put that energy into helping children and families of missing or exploited children. You only have an opinion on this, it doesn't make it fact!!!!

Joanna Morais always colours things her own sweet way - if she doesn't like someone then she's like Vanessa Feltz - jugular queen! Perhaps Jerry didn't pay any attention to her or slighted her - waspish at the very least and has been shown to have very poor judgement on numerous occasions according to our friends who live on the Algarve.

Just once I'd like one of the british investigators to stand up and tell the world what his or her perceptions on these two are. That I know wont prove anything but it would give an incite as to what the police felt about the case. I on the other hand don't need anymore evidence as they are as guilty as sin.

I find it strange that they can take that advice about not letting your grief be public, in case the abductor gets a kick from it ...but not the advice about answering however many questions, however many times, to help the police find Madeleine, Maybe they where told not to break down in the public eye, and they done that very well, but I am assuming that when Gerry was sucking on his lollipop and chatting about the internet and footie ..i don't think there where tv cameras there? or when they don't know they are being filmed, I saw a clip of Gerry laughing heartily on the balcony ...not long after Madeleine had been taken ...I don't actually know, because (thank-god) I have not had my daughter go missing.. but i am pretty sure, that if she did, it would be a very long time until i could laugh again..

Perhaps you have forgotten that both McCanns have been officially cleared by the Portuguese police so why bother to keep hounding them ? If you care to believe the words of a very biased reporter Joana-Morais and the words of a liar, a torturer, and an incompetent police man Mr Amaral who was sacked from the case for fraud, lying  torturing a woman in his custody and complete incompetence that's up to you. I prefer to look at facts Your question is a complete waste of time and effort as it will not change a single thing.

I've read you highlight and one comment i found it interesting where it said that that 'Kate McCann never cried in public....' The woman looked a wreck whenever she was on television. Is this what people expect? An emotional outpouring?

I think this is the whole reason people hate them. They never let the public share their grief. Or the tabloids, who then turned on them. God, I hhate the gutter press.

Any parent experiencing the excruciating pain of losing of a child cannot be asked or expected to to hide their grief in public. This kind of pain cannot be subdued, even with drugs, the agony will always be visible. Yes Kate looked bad, but that was due to the fact they were found out to be neglecting their 3 children. It is appalling that they are not being held to account for this and the other children taken into care. The whole thing stinks, please God that Madeline be found , this may well answer all the questions about the McCanns. Its not as though they are thick chavs as they are highly educated professionals so they knew full well the implications of leaving the children unattended. It's very difficult to keep an open mind.

Kate and Gerry McCann both have hearts of ice and the emotions of a block of stone. They never cared about Maddy otherwise they would never have left her and the twins night after night ,holiday after holiday. They care only about themselves . Gerry is a smug, arrogant man who hides a big BIG secret and I hope one day people are allowed to read Amaral's book ..in English and find out what the PJ really thought of the scheming pair .

none of us can make a honest judgement on the situation because we have no idea what is actually happening we only know what we are told by reporters (no need to explain how idiotic they can be.) And all of the clips we see on the tv are edited to make the clips better for the viewer, so we don't even get a propper sense of what is going on from them. i do think that there is more abbout the missing maddie case that they arent telling us, but what can we do?
