http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755 has admitted that he is looking to return to his best, as he hopes to help Arsenal end the season on a high.
The Gunners are currently sitting in the third spot in the league table and are looking to be amongst the favourites to end the season in the top four.
Gervinho, who missed out on a number of games for Arsenal, following his participation in the African Cup of Nations, has now gone on to admit that he is finally fully recovered and is set to return to his best.
The Ivory Coast international went on to pick up an assist in Arsenal’s game against Aston Villa, as the Gunners went on to beat their bogey team by three goals to nil.
As a result of the win, the Gunners went on to pick up a three point lead over Tottenham Hotspur and are now looking rather comfortable in the top four.
Despite the way the season is going, Gervinho has urged his team to go on and give it their all, every time they step onto the pitch. The winger believes that the team can’t get complacent and need to focus o n winning a maximum number of games over the remainder of the season.
When talking about his form and how the team has been performing, the forward is quoted to have said: “I spoke to the coach when I came back.”
"He knew I was tired and I needed a bit of time to recover and to get back to my best. Now, I feel good again.”
"I want to finish the season well and be a key part of the team in the last games of the season and help the team to finish in the top three."
Arsenal have gone on to prove just what they are capable of in recent weeks, having gone on to win seven games in a row. However, the team can’t go on and take it easy just yet, since they need to prove their worth in the coming weeks and secure Champions League football.
Should the team do just that, they are more than likely to retain their star performers, while attracting some of the bigger names in Europe.
