Get Lettuce to have a fresh smell?

I love salad in the restaurant.. but when I buy a head of lettuce to make salad at home it always smells like grass. Is there anyway to get rid of the odor?? Maybe a vegetable wash or something....

Try filling a sink, or huge bowl with very cold water. Add ice if needed.

Slosh the lettuce around in the water. Let it sit a spell.

This will freshen it up.
