  1. Everyone associates black belt as the "goal" in martial arts, and this is actually a fault in the American mindset of martial arts.  A black belt should be viewed a just a begining for yourself.  After you receive a black belt, you then should be considered a serious student, and your real martial arts training begins.

If you want to be serious about marital arts and learning, forget the notions of being a certain belt.  Get in the mindset of concentrating on learning and improving your techniques.

Once you concentrate on just improving you'll make leaps and bounds in your training.... then anything is possible.

  3. Anything is possible.

  4. Yes, absolutely.  If you train say 4-5 days a week, you will advance much quicker than someone training 2-3 days a week.

  5. if a very hard and dedicated student studys everyday may get up to 3-2 years and a student who studys 2-3 times a week may can get up to 5 years

  6. Hi.

This will depend largely on the school, their specific curriculum, how good the instructors are, how motivated and dedicated you are (and stay throughout your training), etc...

Sounds very possible though, 3-4 years is about average for reaching black belt.

However reaching black belt should not be your goal.  It's fine as a motivating factor to push yourself just that much harder but it's the knowledge you attain along the way that matters, not a piece of cloth you wrap around your waist.

I hope this answers your question and good luck :)
