Question:

Get a business job or go into nursing?

So i graduated in dec 07. have thought about nursing since my sophomore year but my cousin (who was doing her phd at that time) suggested that I finish my business degree and then go into nursing afterwards if I still felt the same. I chose business because I was lost at that time and for all the wrong reasons. Now that I have graduated, I tried to find a job but it is going nowhere. I have signed up for night classes and just registered to volunteer at a hospital. Should I take classes to become a nurse? Or is this just a phase feeling for jobless people? Need some advice. I have a 2.8 undergrad gpa which isn't great (those darn accounting and finance classes).

  1. Nursing. There are so many jobs out there! You can go anywhere you want and work and will be in high demand with great pay. I am currently in college majoring in accounting and if I could do it all over i would be a nurse.

  2. Go into Nursing. The pay is higher and if you don't like the dept. that you're working in, you can always transfer to another dept. or facility and the pay will be worthwhile. Especially, if you work in Surgery or ICU.
