So I hate my glasses and I have wanted contacts forever but everyone I know says they are really uncomfortable and not worth it. Surgery is hecka spendy tho' is it worth it to fork out a ton of cash to have someone zap my eyes with a laser or should I just stick with contacts and deal with the associated issues.

Thanks

  1. I use contacts, and they are not uncomfortable. I would recommend getting contacts. They only feel weird in the beginning because you are simply getting used to them. Talk to your eye doctor about your concerns, and he will reassure you.

    Hope it helps.

  2. Try contacts first.  If you have problems, you can try something else.

That doesn't apply with Lasik, even if the risks are pretty low.

And it'll give you more time to be sure your RX is stable in the long term, an important consideration before opting for refractive laser surgery.

  3. i have soft contacts and they work really well but if u just eliminate the eye problem altogether that is good too. i think that u should try the contacts first and then if u dont like them try the surgery

  4. I wear contact with no problems and you really cant feel them at all. The only ones i know i have had a problem with feeling were the hard contacts they were awefull. The soft ones are grea tand there are tons fo them out there. The lazer surgery is good but it does cost alot. Try the soft contacts first it doesnt take long to get used to them and its cheaper.

  5. Hey I've been wearing glasses since I was 13 . I've tried contact for a while. For me it's not worth it. I've lost a couple of them down the sink.

Lasik could be good if you know where to go and some places nowadays even give you coupon.
