Ok, I would like to know if it is possible to get a license in a state other than in which I live.

I live in Massachusetts, and need a license in Connecticut. Is this possible? I know I can't have two licenses, but can I get a license in Connecticut even though I live in Massachusetts?

  1. no

  2. You don't "need" a licence in Connecticut, you "need" a licence in Massachussets.  You cannot get a licence in Connecticutt unless you live in Connecticutt.

  3. I dont think so your Massachusetts drivers license will be valid

    for driving in Connecticut

you dont need to get from Connecticut

well unless you move there that is)

  4. nope. you will have to provide proof of address in connecticut in order to get a license. like a bill or a lease with your name on it

  5. No, it isn't possible, but if you live near the state line, and work in the other state (say, you live in MA but want to drive a school bus in CT and need a CT license to do that) there is a "non-driver permit" that CT will issue that shows you have met the CT requirements to operate that vehicle even though you don't hold the appropriate license.

Generally you can only get a license in the state you are a legal resident of.
