  1. I think I would be offended. To be told to get on the right page means that I am obviously WRONG. I think that no matter how it is said it is still offending words. It's a phrase meaning you don't know anything of the situation so let's go by what I say.

I wish my husband would say something like that to me.. But then again he is much smarter than that!!

  2. That person is telling you that you don't have all the information and they do so get on to their page. It is a condescending way to say, "you dummy I am right and you are wrong so shut up and listen to me and do things my way."

  3. Yeah I think s/he's confusing the phrase "we need to be on the same page" or something like that. My sister is always s******g up the phrases. Instead of "come h**l or high water" she'll say "come h**l or high wall" LOL - always s******g those up ha ha

    You should laugh.

  4. Its a dumb metaphor for agreeing with her.  She cant very well say "Tuck your balls back and let me have my way"

So instead she says "We need to be on the same page"

  5. I've heard "get on the SAME page".  THAt means "we need to both be concerned about the same issues at the same time.".  It's another way of saying "don't change the subject".

"Get on the right page"??  Whose defintion of "right" are we gonna use?? You gonna get on MY "right" page, or do you expect me to lower myself to YOUR "right" page?

Actually, it sounds like a bad misquote that often stumbles out of our mouths in the ehat of an argument.  At that point I would have said, "Let's talk about this later", and left the room.

  6. You two should be in agreement on huge issues like raising children, religion, jobs, etc.  It just means that you two should have the same ideas and goals for your future and home life.  Sometimes, each of you will need to compromise to keep focused on the same goals.
