Get people to notice me on cruise?

I am going on a 10 day holland america cruise on december 17th 2008. On the Noordam. Anyone else going? How old are you? Do you think anybody my age (14) would be going since it starts when school is still in. I would not want to be the only teen (besides my bro) on the cruise. I am only missing three days of school....

Theere will be tons of teens, and The Loft sounds fun.  I recently went on a Royal Caribbean cruise, and I met tons of peoplke at the teen club.  They'll probably have an activity the first night, you should definitely go! You'll meet people who you can hang out with for the rest of the cruise.  Just don't be shy...I started talking to one guy, and ended up with a gorup of twenty people to party with.

You're probably in luck this is a Christmas cruise and there should be a lot of families. The Noordam has a club for kids your age called "The Loft." I've never been on this ship, but they should have games and movies and it's a place for kids your age to hang out. They might have dancing, but I don't know. The little kids club (Club Hal) is essentially a baby sitting service so it's not free. This cruise has 3 days at sea where there is nothing to do off the ship. Prepare your parents that "The Loft" might have some interesting activities for you, but they might not be free. Typically, soda pop is not free on cruises, but some have travel bottles that you can buy that entitle you for free pop ($15-$20).

If you see someone you'd like to meet, say hello and invite them for an ice-cream cone or a piece of pizza (it's all free on the cruise) and talk to them about where they are from, what they want to see on the islands, and tell them your crazy parents drug you onto this cruise but it isn't half as bad as you thought.
