  1. Hi Jazzy,

You can do it with DVD Xpress.

With DVD Xpress you can transfer your video to your hard drive and then edit it if you desire. DVD Xpress comes with basic video editing software. I got mine at Sam's for $59.95.

I saw a newer model at WalMart recently. It was the DVD Xpress2. I think it was $39.95 but I am not positive. You can check one out here http://www.usb-ware.com/ads-dvd-xpress-d...

You connect the composite output of your PVR into the DVD Xpress and connect the DVD Xpress to your computer via a USB cable.

  2. To put on DVDs, get cucusoft Mpeg/Mov/RMVB/DivX/AVI to DVD/VCD/SVCD Converter - Video Converter (Pro) http://www.allforvideo.com/movie-video-t... , it has a dvd burner insider, you can burn a dvd after conversion, it's only $29.95, works great for me. you can get a free trial if you want from the link i provided.

To put on iPod, iPod can only support mpeg4 video. You will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you to convert dvds and video into mp4 or h264 format, add them into itunes library, then sync to ipod,  take a look at http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/cuc... this step by step guide convert DVDs and all kinds of videos like avi, mpeg etc to ipod using cucusoft...works like a charming for me.

  3. Ipod only support mp4 and H2.64, so if the video is not the format, you must use a third part software to convert. I think the Cucusoft DVD to iPod Video Suite is your best choice, it can rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod with fast speed and high output quality.

  4. iPod only supports videos in mp4, H2.64 video format. If not, you may try some third party software. There are some free video converters for iPod, such as Videora, SUPER. They are free, but always do the work without the good performce. Nowadays, there are so many similar not free ipod converteres in the market. You should try your best to choose the best one. I recommend Cucusoft DVD to iPod Video Suite to convert DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used. You can download this software free from here
