Get rid of End Program Window when shutting Down

Hi I was wondering how to get rid of the End Program Window that pops up when I shut down Windows.

Its getting annoyed having to go and click the end now button when I shut down.

  1. When you shut down Windows it sends a message to all running applications telling them to close. Some do this gracefully. Some do not.

    Often the ones that do not require user input. I have this issue with Outlook because I have it set to empty the Deleted Items on quit, and it insists in asking if this is OK.

    The answer is to manually close such applications first. Windows WILL shut them for you if you wait, but this may leave their files broken.


  2. If you tell us which program is causing this we might be able to help. Many background programs rake longer to shut down than the system likes, printers often do. They should close automatically after a short delay anyway.
