I downloaded an antivirus, but the download continuously came up with errors, so i gave up on it. However, it had created a shortcut for the program, and it sits there ugly and useless. But when I attempt to delete it, it states that the file is "no longer there" and doesnt let me do anything with it! Please help, i like being organized and this thing just sits there!!

  1. drag and drop it to the recycle bin.

  2. re down load the program, then get rid of the short cut, then use the proper remove program function in your control panel.

  3. huh

  4. Yeah, you got a bug of some sort.

I've been using Spy-bot for some time regularly and it ALWAYS finds and destroys the problems.

    I highly recommend it.

  5. Just give your computer a big hug  for being so understanding  ....

  6. You could probably download spybot S&D and use the file shredder service it provides.

  7. The icon on the desktop was probably just sitting there until your desktop refreshed itself or the file was corrupt from the download and the file finally ended up in the recycle bin.
