  1. Nursing helps my son, but there is also gripe water which you can buy at babies r us. It helps with hiccups and all kinds of digestive irritants. It is all natural and consists of no chemicals at all, so its very good for babies tummies.

  2. scar him :P

  3. I would lay my son down for a few minutes of tummy time and that would sometimes work.  Sometimes he would have them until I gave him a full bottle.  I don't know why but sometimes I would do the hokey pokey and that would work!!!! :)

  4. if he doesn't complain dont worry about it too much. just keep trying.

  5. if you are nursing i found that nursing cured hiccups immediately with my baby when he was a newborn.

    otherwise nothing else worked.

  6. There is no way that I know of. When my baby gets the hiccups (which is almost every day since I was 7 months pregnant), I pat him on the back and talk to him, try to comfort him. It probably comforts me more than him though :P

  7. This is a very common thing with babies and in all honesty, there's not much you can do about it. If he's not fussing, don't worry about it.

  8. Just don't worry about them .. they don't bother babies like they bother us =]

You'll probably annoy him more trying to help him get rid of them.

  9. there is nothing you can do to cure hiccups. They don't hurt him they usually cause the parents more pain then the baby

  10. It's normal from what my pediatrician said. They go away on their own or you can use Gripe Water. They sell it at most drug stores. Bought mine from Rite Aid last week!

Some people say they feed their baby when they have hiccups but I prefer not to. I would think the baby would easily get strangled or choke if they hiccup while swallowing.

  11. give him like an ounce or 2 of water and it will go away and when he gets them again you can do the same thing :)

  12. Its very normal.  My 4 week old gets them a couple of times a day every day!  I don't think there is a way to get rid of them, but I wouldn't worry.

  13. Gripe water helped with my son.

  14. Gee I wish I knew!
