i have my files set up from limewire to go striaght to a folder that i put all the songs i want to put on itunes, but i was wondering that instead of having to manually put these songs onto itunes after each download, is there a way that itunes can detect it and put it on for me, or something similar to that?

10 points for the answer that actually helps me!!

thanks

  1. Step 1. Set your default music player to iTunes.

Step 2. In Limewire, go to Tools > Options > Player, then untick 'use limewire media player'

Step 3. When your songs have downloaded, click Launch. They should open automatically in iTunes. They do for me!

    Hope this helps!

  2. Instead of directing the files to the folder you have songs, direct them to itunes folder in my music. In itunes folder --> music folder!

  3. Right click on the mp3 file, and then open with itunes, it'll stay there in itunes =]

I dont think theres another way ..

  4. Right+click on a song and say "Always open with iTunes". Now go into iTunes, go into preferences, click on Advanced, then the General tab. Check the "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library". This way as soon as you double click on a song, it will be automatically sent into the iTunes music folder and added to your library. Then you take the original downloaded file and delete it.
