  1. Well as a suffering dial up user like yourself, I've looked for good dial up stations and never really found a great one.

If you download Paltalk, there is a room called Coast 2 Coast AM. It's mainly just talk radio, but it runs pretty decently for using dial up.

  2. Huh???  Radios receive their power from the utility company or batteries.  There is no need to hook them into a telephone and dial anyone.  As for the signal they receive, that is broadcast over the air and is what they are designed to do, take the wiggly electromagnetic waves and convert them into sound.

If you are referring to what Bush has ordered the broadcasters to do, ask him personally.  Notice he scheduled the whole thing to happen once he was out of office so that he could no be held accountable?  Ask him to send you one of his new fangled gadgets to replace each of the radios you currently own.  He needs to be held responsible for something he did.

  3. If you are talking about the internet radio stations and dial-up... most stations are aimed at a constant on connection of 750kb/s or higher...lots quicker than most 40-56kb/s phone modem hookups.

You are looking for stations that broadcast at 32kb/s or slower and most of those are disappearing as most people want quality over quantity now.

try shoutcast and live 365 for some stations still catering to dialup but other than that forget it anymore it seems.
