Get together for wedding party after the wedding?

we got married in June. at the time we didn't have the time or money for a rehearsal dinner. I still would like to do something special with all of them. Would it be weird to have a picnic with all of them now? It would include all their families also.

  1. That would be perfect.

  2. Do it! My best friend got married a month ago and we all look forward to these get togethers after the wedding. They are so fun! Everything can be a pretext: last Saturday they invited everyone under the pretext of showing the wedding photos (of course you don't need a pretext:) So do it! Everyone will be delighted:)

  3. I don't think it would be weird at all! What a great idea! I'm sure most people understand that when a couple gets married, they don't always have a lot of money but I'm sure they would be touched to have you throw a picnic and you can let them know how much it meant to you to have them there for you at your wedding and how much you appreciate them coming to your picnic. Good luck! =)

  4. I think that's a really nice idea! I think if I was in your wedding party, I'd really appreciate that. It's a nice way to say thank you to all of them for their time and also their support. Definitely not weird at all!

  5. Sounds like a great idea, I'm sure they will all love it

  6. I think it would be lovely to have a little BBQ or picnic with the members of your wedding party and their families.  Labor Day is this coming weekend- why not take advantage of the long weekend to have a little get-together.  Since the wedding was two months ago, it doesn't necessarily have to be a "wedding" party- it could just be a nice, laid-back barbeque letting everyone know how much you appreciate them.

  7. No it wouldn't be weird.  I bet they would really appreciate it if you did something for them now.

  8. yeah, that sounds nice:)

  9. Better late than never! You should definitely do that!

  10. I wouldn't think twice about it. I also wouldn't bother with even bringing up anything about not having the rehearsal. I think it's a great idea just to get the bridal party together and keep in touch. Quite often after the wedding unless the party was all family, people have a tendency to lose contact with friends. Not purposely mind you, it's just a fact that people get busy and you have things you are doing and getting accustomed to.

Have your picnic and enjoy it!

  11. No that sounds like a great idea. I'm sure they will all enjoy it.
