Get tv signal to my room without cable and have channel control?

im looking for a way to get cable into my room without the need for cords. im also looking to have full control over the channels, not just 1 channel.

also to add to this i have my computer hooked up to my tv for movies and such so mabey i could run the signal to the computer and then to the tv? also i have a high speed (12meg comcast) internet and have a wireless router putting out a signal.

with todays technology is it possible?

Yes it is possible.

You need to have a PC with a TV Tuner runing windows media center.

Then in your room you need a Media center extender. This can be an xbox360 or a stand-alone media center extender (Linksys, HP, and others sell them for about $300).

They can all be connected via your home network. For good wireless access, "n" is recommended.
