Getafe manager Luis Garcia Plaza acknowledges Malaga threat – La Liga News
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Getafe-CF-c39419 finally got a victory under their belt. Manager Luis Garcia Plaza is happy with the result but warned about the potent threat their next opposition Malaga bring to the table.
After a series of lacklustre draws and unimpressive losses, the outfit from Coliseum Alfonso Perez finally got their first victory of La Liga season. Midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Castro-c11103 scored just after the half-hour mark to give his team the opening goal.
Castro’s goal was sufficient to earn all the points against Real Betis. The Seville-based team looked dangerous on the counter but the impotency of the strikers cost them the points.
With the win, Getafe now move up in Primera Division rankings to 16th, while Betis are still ranked top in the league after five rounds. After taking on the challenge of Espanyol, Real Betis and Real Madrid, Luis Garcia is planning the away trip
to La Rosaleda.
Plaza is wary of the threat the Andalusian side possesses. "One of the toughest games this season,” Garcia commented during an interview with Marca.
Malaga have strengthened their team with 10 star signings and are genuine contenders for European competition qualification.
Getafe will have to tidy up in midfield and attack if they wish to take anything out of the match. The defence has shown that it is reliable to cope up with the attacking talents of La Liga; however, the top brass is still a level above.
Garcia delved on the approach his team will take during the match. "There is no fear. We have to cover the ball well and be more profound. Be more aggressive. It is one of difficult games of the season."
He was relieved after the victory over Real Betis, putting an end to the poor series of performances El Geta showcased on the pitch.
"We are more relaxed, we had a bad streak without a win and now we have to do without losing" Garcia remarked.
Los Azulones have shown that they have the fighting spirit to lock horns with the renowned names of La Liga. However, they have lacked the creative spark that is enjoyed by their rivals.
Luis Garcia let go of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pedro-c29582 Leon and Pablo Sarabia. If the duo can develop a chemistry, it will surely be enough to improve Getafe’s league standings.
