Luis Garcia Plaza’s men won at the Nuevo Colombino against Recreativo de Huelva to add the silver to their trophy cabinet for the first time in the history of the club.
Alexis and Pablo Sarabia showed Getafe the path to victory, who scored in the space of just fifteen minutes to claim the Colombino Trophy 0-2 at the expense of Recreativo. The mallards were dressed in red and breezed in the opening exchanges and put their

Continuing on the topic, he added that they were taught a lesson by El-Geta and should take heed from it before 2012/13 Spanish top flight football season starts in earnest.
"Offensively we are wrong and the players may not have understood what I'm asking. We have learned a lesson today."
Luis Garcia Plaza was pleased with the performance of his players, but pointed out they still have a long way to go before being ready for the rigours of the competitive campaign.
The former Levante coach shared that while the first half showed a positive image for El Geta fans, their outing after the interval exhibited how unprepared they are at the moment.
"The first half we were good, accurate and in place, but the second was worse, losing balls and back. Addition, the grass was fatal."
