  1. It hurts after a few hours. And that lasts about 2-3 days. Just eat soft foods for a few days. You can take like Motrin or Tylenol but it's not going to be that bad. Well, stay away from yellow. Nobody wants to make their teeth look more yellow and that would do it =) Uh.. One of my favorite foods to eat was raviolis. You can eat jello, pudding, bananas, squishy stuff like that. I remember that eating bread hurt after getting them put on or getting them tightened. So anything softer than bread basically. Brush your teeth everyday and floss in between the brackets because otherwise you'll end up with stains from the glue on your teeth when you get them off.... Good luck =)

  2. -doεs iit hurt whεn uu fiirst gεt thεm? getting them on doesnt hurt at all. Take some tylenol/advil an hour before going in being that your mouth will be open for about 45 min-hour. Continue taking the tylenol for the next few days if the soreness persists.

    - how long wiill iit hurt for? about a week or so and also when you get them tightened for about a day. again tylenol/advil does help for this.

    - iis thεrε anчthiing uu can do to makε iit hurt as lεss as possiiblε? try eating soft foods and take tylenol/advil to help with the soreness.

    - whiich colours look bεst, & whiich colours should uu avoiid? i am older so I have silver or gray. If you are younger, try your favorite sports team colors or maybe your school colors, whatever colors you like. I had clear last month, hatd it, they stained really easy with everything I ate.

    - what kiinds of foOd's can чoOu εat? try eating mashed potatoes, smoothies, pudding for the first couple days. This helps with the soreness. You will be back to eating normal in about a week and a half. Ot will feel weird at first, but you will get used to it.

  3. Ahh, braces suck =/

Hope these answers don't scare ya.

    1. While they're putting them on, no, it doesn't hurt. Then you get home. . .

    2. The pain becomes excruciating. Your teeth are beyond sore to where you can't even CLOSE your mouth or touch your tooth without major pain. The braces rub against your cheeks and rip them completely open. It'll be sore for about a week and a half.

    3. You can use wax and take pain killers. In my personal experience, neither worked. The pain killers made me mad and I just swallowed the wax.

    4. I'd say avoid yellow or brown. It makes your teeth look like you haven't brushed them in years. I would get clear and white because then people wouldn't notice  I had them.

    5. For the first week and a half, just stick to milkshakes. You won't want to eat ANYTHING else. When you get braces, the orthodontist will tell you to avoid caramel and sticky foods like gum and stuff. I ignored that completely and my teeth were fine, but some people's brackets pop off.

  4. Well i just got mine on, so I'll answer as much as i know now, umm not when you first get them, but they put a bunch of junk in your mouth, so a  bad taste, mine still hurt I got them on July 29th so so far 4 days.  Tylenol helps with the pain, I got orange and green my friend got black and grey, they look good. clear ever, it makes your mouth look gross and bulky. umm and i can't eat much right now, only cause of the pain. but the ortho told me not to eat popcorn, sugar gum, and to cut down on the sugar.. but.... yours might say something else
