the problem is...im getting a pioneer DEH-P600UB head unit,

2 12" Alpine SWR-1222D subs (500RMS each)

and probably an alpine PDX 1.1000.mono block (1000wats). i also already have infinity refrence speakers in the front (45RMS) and refrence also in rear(100RMS)..(::sadface:: i paid so much for them and there kindof sorry .imho.)....am i supposed to include those when i calculate the system power?

~All in all ive been going by the calculations to make sure there all compatable with one another and from the looks of it i think ill be needing a high output alternater, deep cell battery, and some new wiring like sparky says..... only problem is im not sure what all to add up when trying to figure the system power, so im not sure how many watts the new alternator will need to put out.

~If you have any information on some good high output alternators and deep cell batteries please include that also but right now i cant figure out my total system power to get the alternator.

  1. You'd take your HU's RMS power, probably going to be 25W x 4 , so 100W, Then your amp so 1000 watts. Then you take your total power (1100) and divide by your voltage (14.4) which would give you  76.3Amps. Depending on your vehicle you might not need to upgrade your alternator, but I would upgrade the battery and do the big three.

This is the equation your using, P / E = I, P being Watts, E Being Volts and I is Amperage.
