Getting Bose 3·2·1 GS (Series 2) from US to India?

Hi,

I am planning to buy a Bose 3·2·1 GS (Series 2) System from US to India. Do let me know if someone has done that before? I need specifics around:

1. Is region code an issue? Can I play my India DVDs?

2. Is electricity power setting in India (220 V 50 Hz) an issue? If yes, is there a way around that?

3. Any other issue you have faced?

India is Region 5 but you can hack the player at your own risk.

Bose has outlets in India also, in case you didn't know that.

You are better off with any other brand of systems. I found a link (below) in many of the answers here about Bose which might be of help to you.

There are power converters available (even on internet).

Once again.... Keep away from Bose.
