Getting Contacts Question??!?!??

Question

ok im getting fitted for contacts friday.im 13 what should i expect at the appointment?? like what questions will they ask me and stuff?? THNAKS!!!

they won't ask questions, they'll just do tests on your eyes, just like they would for glasses. eventually he/she will put an actual contact in your eye to see how it reacts, and then they'll have you try it yourself.

that's what they did for me, i was 13 at the time, 14 now :]

They'll have you look into this machine with letters and pictures to test your vision. They will also puff some air into each eye (can't recall why). They'll ask you what type of contacts you want, any eye problems in the past, any concerns, etc. If you choose to get color contacts, I would highly suggest Freshlook Colorblends RADIANCE. I wear them and notice that they allow my eyes to breathe more easily than other color contacts (lack of dye around the contact). If you get clear contacts, I suggest you get the kind with silicone hydrogel as they allow your eyes to receive more oxygen. Redness, dryness, and irritation are common problems with contacts so ask your doctor about the right brand that will provide more oxygen to the cornea. Overall, the appointment is easy and quick!

p.s. yes they'll have you wear a trial pair to see how you adjust to them.

be careful with contacts. you have to be really responsible with them. clean them right, sanitize everything(your hands, case...etc) i would recomend getting daily use contacts. I had contact for 4 years. I got lazy with them and got a ulcer in one of my eyes from not cleaning them correctly. so be careful. and good luck
