How does one go about getting donations for a benefit or cause?

I'm lost and any help would be appreciated!

  1. It is called a fundraiser.  The are plenty of websites with fundraising ideas.  The simplest is letters of request sent to potential donors.


  2. Are you looking for cash donations or gifts in kind?  What is the cause?

  3. Set up a profile at http://www.microgiving.com as long as your legitimate. The members are very generous and may offer donations.
