why is it that a man of 60 who has been drinking whiskey regularly for the past 35 years, (almost 1 L daily), get drunk, but not p**s drunk, every night (the man being 6'3 and 190 lbs) where as a girl of 19, who only drinks occasionally only gets tipsy after drinking 2L of tequila? (5'5 and 165 lbs)

Now I thought you build resistance to alcohol over time, clearly its not showing here. Why is it like this?

  1. You build up to a point, then it goes down from there. Over time it takes less and lees to get the old guy drunk. While the young girl is still on the up hill side building up.

  2. The young girl drinking 2L of tequila must have drunk that over a long period of time or not at all.  If she did it in one night, she'd be dead now.

  3. Continue drinking with her and find out in your own way.

  4. It depends on a lot off things; the amount of alcohol in the drink, the height and weight of the person drinking, etc.
