Hi

I am starting college in september but am not entitled to get EMA

but i dont get any extra money of ma parents and have to pay for everything i get out of my savings from birthdays and xmas

do you think if we said my dad didnt live with us and i just lived with ma mum and shown her P60 i would be able to get EMA??

it would really help our household as all the money we do get goes straight out paying of debts etc??

please dont criticise

  1. I dont think you should do that its fraud and your parents could get in trouble. If you speak to student services they may be able to arrange a grant for you.

  2. yes just do that lol. most people go college just for EMA. and goodluck. £30 is alot because you can get £1000 a year.

  3. Benefit fraud, you get caught in the end.

  4. hey, ive just finished my first year at college and do get ema

i have a friend who shouldnt get EMA but has fixed it so he has, so if i was you i would

i should also tell you it is impossible to live on EMA alone, you dont even get it in the holidays, i had to get a job to help me

  5. r u saying ur dad would move out so u can get ema?

if he did he would be paying rent and bills elsewhere so therefore ur £30 a week would not cover that.

    so that would be pointless

r u saying u would pretend ur dad has moved out?

that could work but would be illigal and if caught u could have to pay it all back.

and it would be likly ud get caught as ur dad would be on the council tax register at ur home address

  6. If you proved your income for where you live is within the range to get EMA you can get it, but if your mum earns over approx 30k a year then you won't get it. It depends on your parents incomes really.

  7. well you can't lie just  to get a bit of money..it's not right

if you're not entitled then you're not entitled

i can't get it coz i'm not from an eu country and my parents make more that £40,000 a year together so

i learned to live with it

    you should too ^_^

    not criticizing ..just saying...life's hard..
