Question:

Getting Flash ActiveX to work?

When I try to run a video or update my Yahoo avatar, I get the message "...requires the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player." I have downloaded the Flash player numerous times, checked in Control Panel to see that it is there, restarted my computer... still get the message. I suspect some sort of security check is blocking it.

This is a Vista OS. I didn't used to have problems on this computer, and don't have a clue what has changed. Any suggestions?

  1. Flash Player is not a Macromedia Product anymore, which means that most likely something is off somewhere else, but nonetheless, when the message shows, doesn't it give you the choice of installing the add-on from the message itself?

It it does give you that option, just say ok and let it install the add-on.
