Getting Hair Thinned Without Style?

Question

I have really thick ugly hair. I want to get it thinned out but my mom said that hair dressers will only thin it out if I get a style. Is this true? I dont want a style but I want to get thinned out a lot.

well you can get it layered, and then ask her to thin it a little more than that, because layers thin it. you could also get a trim and ask her to thin it out.

nope that's not true at all. i go in and get my hair thinned all the time. just thinned. not styled.  i also have very very thick hair. and dont call your hair ugly!i'm sure it's beautiful! everyone's hair is different! even if it's not string-beany and pin straight doesnt mean it's not gorgeous! i've grown to love my thick long hair.  but what i've found that also helps is layers to take off some of the heaviness as well. and they're cute :) hope this helps! (but you can get it thinned without getting the layers, it was just a suggestion lol)

that is not true your mom is just telling you that so that you can keep you hair you can actually go to the salon and tell them that you want to keep your lenght but thin it out and they will get this razor and start to thin your hair
