Getting ID-ed in Dublin?

Question

Ok so I'm going to Dublin for a few days with loads of mates, we're right in the city center, and I was wondering what they are like about ID...i.e what places do and don't ID and how are they about it on the whole? I'm 17 years old..I've never really tried to get served in England before as someones always about my drinks but I was wondering if they would ID on the door of a club maybe? To be honest, I've got a big b***s..honestly will that help? Helllp! Don't know what to expect! Thank you in advance!

most places like disco clubs, even few pubs, they ask for ID, u must be 18y old to get in...

If you're going in anytime after 6  to a pub or anytime to a club you are likely to be checked. I've never not been checked.

I'm 23 and lived in Dublin for years and I nearly ALWAYS got asked for ID, if your underage its best to get in early, but if you go somewhere like REDS or Citibar your a little less likely to be asked but I wouldn't really be surprised if you got ID'd..

As for what to wear, if you wear a short skirt and low cut top I actually think the bouncers are more likely to ask because your making so much of an effort to look older, a pair of jeans and a nice tight but not too revealing top and will be more likely to aid you....

After 11 everywhere has bouncers, so like i said best to get out early, but the people before me are right, in the centre of town, on a Saturday night, almost everyone gets asked for ID

Most clubs and discos ask for ID.....if you don't want to bring a passport, make a photocopy and bring a student Id card with you, that should be fine. Most pubs dont usually ask for ID if you look old enough!

I'd be very surprised if you got into a club, or got served. Most places are very strict, and a lot of places are 21s. Im 20, and sometimes get refused because of my age.

It all depends on where you go there are some places that dont bother, but yes you will most likely be asked for id when going to a club.

Well alot of places will ask.. If you all go up at once you wont get it.. if you get all dressed up and show those big b***s off a bit the door men will more then likly let you in.

As for places... it's 50/50... more places in the centre of town will ask... Move out of town a bit into the local bars and you wont get asked as much.

Oooooh man I dont know. Some places wont bother asking you but most will. I'm sorry I can't help you more but I'm 26 and have never been stopped for ID. But you do have to be over 18 to drink over here
