I have a Large Rectangular Above ground pool. I just bought the home and Im assuming the pool was filled with well water. I treated the Iron and the water is no longer brown. Yesterday I treated the water for Algae, and for the first time I can see the sides of the pool. I also shocked the pool. There is alot of sediment on the bottom of the pool. I have a DE filter that I plan on running for 24 hours starting tomm. Should I run filter for 24 hours before vacuming, or vacum first? Im assuming I should vacume to waist, but that seems like it would waste ALOT of water. Also, should I add a Floc too help out? This whole pool has stressed me out sooo much...Ill take any advice I can get..Thanks!!

  1. I would suggest that u should first add water and wash the whole pool and then add purified water....and if u still fell that water is dirty then switch on the DE filter not for 24 hours but for 6 hours...

    Hope u like my opinion!
