  1. First you have to be in, by or from a country with a monarchy based government (kings & queens), which is one bad point for democracy :)

Then you have to do something exceptional for the king/queen (i think you can find something in hawaii) or their country. Such as:

    1. Slay a dragon

    2. Save a lord from imminent death

    3. Make someone important look really good

    4. Make the kingdom look really good

    5. become a lord (very hard)

Then the king/queen will knight you

  2. They do it at Medieval Times! You pay a (hopefully small) fee and the King will knight you.

I know that there is a Medieval Times near Chicago!

Or you could try a local Ren Fest!

  3. To start with you have to take English grammar lessons, and dragon slaying days  have been banned,so you're out of luck there.

  4. Americans who are knighted  generally must travel. But, we Americans can not use titles.

For more information go over to http://www.royal.gov/uk click on Monarchy Today and go to the investitures to link to see what happens.

People who receive the honor have done something to earn it, like political service,or an extraordinary entertainment career like Paul McCartney's,or an extraordinary business achievement like Richard Branson's...

  5. It's always done in Britain I think and you can only be called 'Sir' in Britian too - doesn't work abroad! You have to do something pretty special to be a Knight, you're usually an MBE or OBE before and these are gained for special services or representation of Britiain. Don't think it's going to happen.

  6. They might have medication for that.

  7. I hereby declare myself king of my house, and hereby declare you knight of that realm

    there, you've been knighted

it doesnt mean anything since so many musicians have been knighted, so i dont mind adding you to my court

    good job :D

  8. Well first of all, you have to make a huge contribution to society...what sort of major accomplishment have you done that is consider a great achievement? In addition, whatever you tried to accomplish must also be of social value in the eyes of the monarch in order for Queen Elizabeth II to honor you with the title of “knighthood.”

Traditionally, the honoring of knighthood usually took place in Great Britain in the presence of the monarch. You obviously cannot expect the monarch to travel all the way to the US to honor you.

  9. You have to actually DO something important to be knighted for.  It's not just a "cause I want to" thing.  Why don't you get your fantasy fulfilled by joining a group called "Society for Creative Anachronism"?  It may take some looking, but there are groups of people (all ages) across the United States who get together to enact life as it was in the Middle Ages.  They have weekend meetings where they dress, eat, sleep, etc . just as they did back then.  Everyone is given a name according to his or her deeds and qualifications.  You can be a knight, complete with chain mail and sword, and participate in mock sword fights and etc.  It's really a neat way to feel like you were part of the Middle Ages and you can enact many types of fantasies.   Other than that, I don't think there's anyplace you can go where someone will just "Zap - you're a knight."           Good Knight and good luck.

  10. Why don't you try to locate some actual knights of England and become their lead advisor or defender, so you will have the approval of a noble person and will get notoriety that way.

  11. Well it used to be an honour to be Knighted, but now you can get one for almost anything, geriatric singer, politician, civil servant, mediocre actor, football manager etc.

Up until recently you could even pay for one.

    Worthless today!!
