Getting Married! What Hair?

Question

Hey everyone.. I am getting Married At the end of August 2008 and my hair just about rests on my shoulders, and i would like a updo style but i can't see anythin i like.. do you think adding exstension would be a good idea?

and doesn't exstensions ruin hair? and whats the price range for them?

Note: I am wearing a Tira and a Veil!

i think extensions would be a great idea!!! you can always buy the clip in ones...i bought mine on Ebay (they were around 70 bucks but they are real hair clips extensions so you can style them) they are awesome and stay in your hair very secure.

then you can put loose curls...i think that will look beautiful w/ the tiara and vail!!

Well if ur wearing a tiara and a veil, then i think you should just keep ur hair down, but curl it. DO NOT get extentions. they ruin yer hair and when they come out they leave a bald spot from where they wer.

Depending on what type of extensions you get the price will vary. maby you should try looking for some kind of hair peice?? there are places you can look like sally's beauty supply to find a peice that matches your hair pretty well! i had extensions and personally i feel like i wish i hadnt spent the money! but that is your choice :-) good luck and congrats!!!!

I don't know how you typically wear your hair but the best advice I've ever heard about bride's hair is to wear it like you typically do, just 'fancied' up.

You want your fiance to recognize you!

That being said - extensions would be a bad idea unless you're just using them to make your hair look fuller...not longer.  Not only would you look like a different person, extensions can be very damaging to your hair (look at Britney Spears).

Because your hair only reaches your shoulders, putting it up would probably call for a ton of gel and hairspray. You don't want to look too stiff.

Experiment - google 'bride up-do hair' and you'll surely see a ton of sites to get ideas.

When I got married 4 years ago (at the end of August, too), my hair wasn't even down to my shoulders. And my hair stylist did pin curls and made it look like an updo. I also had a veil and tiara, it was very pretty.

You can find many samples of wedding hairstyles and you can even upload your own picture on some of the programs.

If you are wearing a veil and tiara then I definitely think that you can do extensions. You don't have to get permanent ones you can get ones that snap in. They have some wonderful products out there that are made with real hair. Ask your stylist or go into a beauty salon. They should be able to guide you in the right direction.

The nice part about the ones that snap in is that it doesn't damage your hair and you can use them again if you want to.

Another option would be to just get a hairpiece that sits on the top of your head.

OMG I LOVE WEDDINGS :O you are going to be beautiful! It would help if you had a picture of you. if you don't feel comftrable you can blurr out your face  but.. I'll help you :o

Try going to a salon and asking and looking through bridal magazines or something.

go to the site i  listed for you, upload a picture of yourself and you can play around and try different hairstyles on yourself, that wa you will know if u really like it or not, because what other people tell you to do , u may hate and it might be too late once you get your hair done! yeah get extentions, I have perminted extentions and my hair isn't ruined, but their really expensive I must worn you, but hey it is your wedding make it special get the extentions anyway !! you might even want to use then after the wedding, think of it as your wedding present to your self :D
