Getting RX lenses for non RX sunglasses?

  1. Yes, just call your local Optical places and ask.... some do

    some don't.  Usually the lense cutter 'on premises' will do it- - - no problem....


  2. It entirley depends on your perscription.  ( which will effect your lense shape and effect the frame )

  3. I'm not trying to spoil the fun, but keep in mind that some non-prescription sunglasses frames will NOT work with real (prescription) lenses. Also, some of these frames are quite cheaply made and you don't want to spend a lot of money to have lenses custom made and then have the frames bust like 2 weeks later.  Check the frames carefully and make sure they are well made, the person at the eyeglasses shop can tell if they will accept prescription lenses. A lot of the eyeglass places can do this, but I suggest calling first to verify so you don't waste a trip.
