  1. 1) it ment to stop aggression, my girl kept attacking other animals so when she was 3 we had her spayed and she has calmed down, she is still stropy though but not aggressive.

    2) some vets will do males as soon as there testaculs have droped, im not sure about females, but its free to call your vet and ask.

    3) price vares depending on location and place, my girl was £75 to spay but pets at home  in swansea charge around £40.

  2. In order for fixing to make any change in the behavior of a rabbit, it must be fixed before it reaches maturity. For most smaller rabbits, that age is 6 months. For males, it keeps them from being territorial (spraying, chinning, pooping excessively). For females, it keeps them from being nipping when they want to breed. The rabbit has to be at least 4 months. It usually costs $75 for a male and $100-120 for females. The females are more expensive because the surgery is more involved. You can ask you local animal shelter (SPCA, ASPCA) if they will do it. If they do, the prices are usually lower. Your vet will also do it.

  3. I recently got a 2 year old  un neautered male rabbit and after he was fixed he was much more mellow.  Also, females who are not spayed have an 80-90% chance of developing reproductive cancer by the time they are 5.  They should be 5-6 months when the are fixed.

I agree that if you call an SPCA you will get more of a discount than a regular vet, which is usally around $120-$150

  4. Once your bunny hits puberty, you'll notice some changes in their personality which you might not like. Bunnies can

become aggressive, territorial and can scratch and bite. They can circle you, growl, nip, refuse to use their litter tray

and if your boy bunny really loves you, you may be sprayed as a term of endearment!

If you desex your bunny, these aggressive traits will lessen and you will finally get to know the real personality of your

companion friend. Your bunny will remember their litter training and will become much more calm and relaxed.

Boys can be desexed at around 4 months of age (depending on the weight and size of your bunny). Generally, if the

dangly bits are dangling, it's time for the operation - but check with your vet for an accurate guide.

Girls are best desexed between 6 months to 1 year. Girls can be the most aggressive of the bunny world so an

undesexed girl can sometimes cause more trouble than a boy. As well as aggression, females also can have

phantom pregnancies, meaning that they pull their fur out and make nests. Many people also say that over the age of 3 a female rabbit has an 80% chance of uterine cancer if not desexed.

    It costs about $100 - $120
