So long story short, my boyfriend and I have been together 3 years (this month) and we knew the night we met that we'd be together. I'm 21 and he's a few weeks short of 22, he recently talked to his parents and mine saying he plans to propose in October. We wouldn't get married until May 2010 (so we would both be done with school and hoping to work for a year first).
We planned on getting married so young so that my whole family could be there. Sadly, my grandma passed away this past summer so our original wish is no longer possible. But we're still planning to go along with the original plan and get married young after a year and a half engagement. (Also, I am waiting for marriage so, as ridiculous as it is, part of the decision is motivated by finally getting to be with each other physically.)
I always knew we'd get married, but I am starting to wonder how people will look at such a young couple? Now that our reason for doing everything so young, isn't really applicable anymore, should we still go along with the plan? I'd like to think that we're pretty practical people and have thought everything out, but I'm just worried how people will perceive us because we're only in our early 20s, and will be engaged even before we graduate.
thanks in advance for the help.
