Question:

Getting Rugby World Cup in the U.S.?

My father, who played Rugby in Belfast (Queens Univ.), Dublin (Trinity), and London (London-Irish and London Univ.) as a young buck, is desperately trying to find some way to pick up the Rugby World Cup here in the U.S. (N. Calif. near San Francisco).

He can download games on Setanta, but he wants to get it on TV. Setanta has some deal with DirectTV, but DirectTV is being coy about whether they will broadcast it.

Question 1: If enough people bother DirectTV (or other broadcaster ... Fox Sports?) to tell them they they will have a market, they will offer it on Pay-Per-View. Any DirectTV users out there willing to bug 'em?

Question 2: Any other broadcasters you know of?

Thanks!
