Getting Teeth Filled Tomorrow Please answer?

Tomorrow I am getting 5 teeth filled This month sucked 2 weeks ago i went in to get three teeth pulled and 3 days ago i went to go get a root canal now tomorrow 5 fillings.

How long will the fillings take? does it hurt? If I get laughing gas will i look dumb? thanks

Hi, Kaute. First off, start brushing. :)

Aside from that, I actually disagree and would recommend laughing gas with novacane because it was actually a lot of fun when I had oral surgery years ago. i actually didn't want the surgery to end, if you can believe that. But, I am unaware of side effects, so do research. Laughing Gas is a used sparingly nowadays, I believe.

Also, make sure your fillings are porcelain, not mercury, due to publications reporting on dangers of mercury.

it doesnt take long to fill teeth usually

it can hurt cause theyre workin right by a nerve

but laughin gas will cut back on the pain a ton.

no you wont look stupid and it wears off fast after they take it off :]

You won't , they put your teeth to sleep first .

It does not hurt. they take an hour I think. Your mouth will feel funny afterwards. You will not get laughing gas. I did not.

if theyre doing all 5 in 1 sitting then they must not be very big fillings, it should take 1-1.5 hours depending on the size and because the dentist has to jump from chair to chair. Fillings do not hurt, if theyre very surface level they do not inject you, they only take some enamel off, they dont touch the root or the gums. you will not need laughing gas but if you do(idk why you would since it doesnt hurt) dentist and their assistants have outtermost respect for their patients and will not laugh or talk about your oral health, etc,

i actually had two fillings done today.. i was out of the place in about an hour, probably not even that long. It didn't hurt and i didn't do laughing gas. i just felt some vibrations but it wasn't a big deal. My mouth felt numb for about an hour and a half afterward but i could talk fine. You'll be alright! you dont need laughing gas if your going to a exerpinced dentist

if your nervous the denttist will understand and numb your gums

Bad teeth eh?  I have bad teeth too.  My fillings generally never hurt, I've fallen asleep in the chair before. Don't go for laughing gas, go for the novacaine. Laughing gas can have unpleasant side effects. Chances are you wont get all 5 done tommorrow, dentists normally work 1 side at a time so unless you have 5 on one side, then itll be at least two trips.
