Getting a Chihuahua ???

My mom thinks that chihuahuas are bad to have as pets. She thinks that they are too easily hurt and that they are too aggressive. With that aside I still really want a chihuahua and she knows how much I like them. How can I convince my mom to let me get a chihuahua

  1. Chihuahua's are the kind of dog that attach themselves to one person and protect that one person. My aunt breeds them and her three main chihuahua's that she breeds follow her every where and cry when she's not in sight. They don't like to be held by anyone else and they protect my aunt. Basically they're a one person dog. They're not bad dogs, they're just loud, annoying, and nervous all the time. But they'll be your best friend.

  2. Do you have asthma? They help with breathing problems. They are also very protective dogs.

  3. dont-we got one really hard to potty train, always stumbling around bc its always at your feet, very needy

  4. As a serious answer yes they are very delicate. The vet said I should not have any young children around my dog because they tend to bite more easily and a toddler could break a leg or squish their ribcage. I actually have a chi/terrier mix so she is very friendly. She still has that Chi face and is only 8 lbs.

  5.   I have a chihuahua,Although people think that all they do is bark and shake, its not true.some do,but if you end up getting one that is aggressive, or is to much recommendnd you take it tobediencece classes,it helped me a lot:)If you train a chi correctly they ca be as great as owning a calm perfect pooch! Also do research on them and show your mom how great of a dog they are:)

  6. I never wanted a Chihuahua but now I have 3. I was looking for another type of puppy and came across a tiny Chihuahua and fell in love with her. Then I got 2 more over the next few years. My Chihuahuas aren't yappy and fragile like I thought they'd be. They are great watch dogs and are very loving and cheerful.

  7. tell her there good with b-b-q sauce

  8. I got my first Chihuahua 4 years ago and now I have four. If you really want a Chi, please consider adopting one. It's true, they are not as sturdy as other dogs. They are small boned and bones easily break. They were bred to be a companion and not for families with small children who may not understand to handle them gently. But agressive ?!?  None of my dogs are agressive. They will bark at strangers and people they are not familiar with. And if they feel their master is threatened, they will act to protect. Go to Chihuahua Rescue and Transport website and show your Mom all the great Chihuahuas that are available.
