  1. Its a rip off of a Fender Strat

If this is your first guitar then it would be ok for a beginner

  2. i wouldn't get it cuz its a fake fender stratocaster.

i have a fender strat. btw...

  3. I WOULD get the guitar, because it is a beautiful tobacco sunburst strat knock-off with a humbucker, with a pretty s**y pearloid pickup guard. What I wouldn't do is pay more than 150 for it. Samick is a Korean company, and the guitars they make are DECENT, but not overly great. There hasn't been any Samicks for about 9 years now, as they got switched to Greg Bennett in 2000 or so.

I see there's a "custom pro shop" logo on the guitar. Look up Samick Pro Shop and see if you get any more info.

I would say "get it", however. It's a nice guitar, it's held on to it's looks despite it's age (meaning it was well cared for), and a new pickup set is 100-300 bucks, easy to install, and will turn your "knock off" into a better sounding guitar than the real thing.

:::EDIT::: Fenders are way overpriced anyway. Your average Made In Mexico Strat has the same quality testing as your average car tire. Don't buy into the name, buy what you like.

  4. Buy it!  Pay no more than $150US.  I have three Samick VA guitars and love them.
